Guest Lecture on 07-01-2023

A guest lecture was held under the aegis of Research and Development Cell of Annamacharya Institute of Technology and Sciences, Rajampet on " Role of Engineering Nation Building" for B. Tech, MBA and MCA students from 10 AM to 12PM and also on " Research and Development Activities in Defence and Space" for all the faculty members from 3PM to 5PM on 7 January 2023 at AITS gallery and Conference room respectively. Dr. S. Krishna Kumar, Senior Scientist, DRDO, acted as resource person for the event. While addressing the students at the forenoon session Dr. Krishna Kumar delved into the details of how engineers belonging to different disciplines play a vital role in building the nation. In the afternoon session, Dr. Kumar dwelt at length on Research and development activities in Defence and Space. He also lucidly explained the procedures to be followed and the documents to be submitted to forward the proposals to DRDO to receive the Seed money/ Grant-in-aid for the conduct of workshops, seminars, symposia and also for the establishment of advanced research laboratories in the institution. Dr. Krishna Kumar also briefed about the procedures to be followed to apply for patent rights. Several faculty members and students participated in the event and benefited immensely from the talks.
